Dr Erminia Colucci, the funder of Movie-ment.org, has dedicated her life to suicide prevention (particularly among young people) in Low-and-Middle-Income countries and among people from immigrant and refugee backgrounds. As suicide prevention in these populations are barely funded and the small funds usually go towards medicalized/clinically based approaches, so far she has mainly self-funded her community-based suicide prevention activities.
